Windsor Locks, set in the Connecticut River Valley between Hartford and Springfield, presents an enjoyable environment for family living and a demanding industrial base.

Several manufacturing firms produce a variety of products and contribute greatly to the economy of town. Bradley International Airport and airport-related services employ numerous residents. While the airport and industry occupy almost two-thirds of Windsor Locks, excellent residential neighborhoods are available as well.

The range of housing includes many styles, sizes and price levels. Residents take pleasure in a mixture of town services. A small public school system stresses traditional coursework, with elementary schools for children in kindergarten through second-grade, and third-grade through fifth-grade. Windsor Locks also has its own middle school and high school.

Residents take pleasure in the various activities at well-kept town parks and playgrounds, tennis courts and outdoor pools. A passionate parks and recreation department maintains facilities and promotes special events.

Housing over 75 historic aircrafts is the New England Air Museum, which also hosts a thrilling air show each year. Interstate 91 provides convenient travel to close by communities and urban centers for shopping and cultural services.
